Boring can be so beautiful!

Was supposed to go to work today but since hubby was laid off I called in. Good thing I work where there is always a liberal leave policy the day before/after a holiday!

I slept in until 0930 but he was up and running by 0700. After running he started working on the backyard. One of our summer/warm season projects this year. We started the warm season with a blah backyard and are working toward something worthy of an HGTV mention!

On the one side of the yard is a play area for the grandchild/children. One of those wooden swingsets. Except we cheaped out and bought the pieces separately and have had to put it all together ourselves. Four hours on Sunday and we're only about 90% done. But it is fun working together, 50/50. A little snip here and there but nothing serious. Just two minds with their own ideas of how it should go.

Today we laid some dirt in some low spots, laid some brick in a spot reserved for firewood, and did a lot of shopping for grass (to cover the low spots), sand (for bricks & sandbox), and hardware for the flower bench hubby will build for me. Did I tell you he's a great guy??

Now I'm going into the house to clean it up and off to my parents for a visit.

I've heard about blogging and see friends and co-workers around me enjoying it. So I thought I'd join this "mother ship" and see what the attraction is.

But what to call my blog? What topic do I decide I want to dedicate time and effort to? I couldn't begin to pick any one thing so I called my blog Ennegrm91. This will be my place to post my random thoughts for anyone who would like to read.
